The earth is important to people because it give us the perfect amount of oxygen and gravity. It also gives us a good climate so we won’t freeze or burn to death, depending where you are in the world. I know that humans have 1/3 water inside of us, because we need as much water as possible. A video we watched in Mrs Loar’s class was about how we are making a huge mess in ocean because we don’t care about the ocean. We are so selfish that we only care about us and not the ocean. In the video I saw, there is so much trash in the ocean and the fish are dying, because if we don’t have fish, we don’t have any food for ourselves. On page 717 of the book The Edge, in the poem called “I was born Today,” the author Amado Nervo states that” Every day that dawns, you must say to yourself: I was born today. The world is new to me. This light that I behold strikes my unclouded eyes for the first time; the rain that scatters its crystal drops is my baptism! then let us live a pure life, a shining life!” This shows that we were born new to the world because the earth used to be owned by dinosaurs and other animals. It also shows how beautiful is water, and how lucky we are to have water.

Obviously all of this is perfect because it was created by a perfect Creator, God. It wasn’t caused by a big bang or anything like that. How could everything have turned out so perfectly. Yes, there’s sin because human beings sin, because we are not perfect. The people talk about other planets – I have notifications that the sea level is rising.  People think the earth is not important because they think they have to die one or another day, so some people don’t care about the world just cause they can throw trash anywhere they think. Earth is our home, so we should respect and always clean our earth. Earth is an important planet to human beings, because earth gives us food, water, air, climate, and habitat.

Mark Zuckerberg is a famous person who invented Facebook, the social networking website. He launched Facebook when he was at Harvard University with his four other friends that are co-founders of Facebook. The co-founders are Eduardo Saverin, Andrew McCollum, Dustin Moskovitz, and Chris Hughes. They launched Facebook from a Harvard University dormitory room when they were in college.

During his college years, Mark Zuckerberg studied psychology and computer science. In his sophomore year, he wrote a program called CourseMatch. The program helped users make class selection decisions based on choices of other students and also to help them form  study groups. Mark Zuckerberg is the world’s 16th richest person. He worked hard to make his name be famous in the whole world. Mark Zuckerberg is the known for Facebook, WhatsApp, and other social networking websites and apps. Mark Zuckerberg was the first person who made the social networking website in the world. The website is called Facebook.

The Facebook changed the world a lot than it used to be, because people find out something is happening in world before even the news channels. Now people post or share everything on Facebook, whatever is happening in the world, to let other people know what is happening in other parts of the world. Now people chat on Facebook with their friends that are in a different country or they do videochat on Facebook. I think Facebook changed the world a lot, because Facebook helps to try to connect to people to other sides of the world.

Dubai is the richest city I have ever seen in my life. The best thing out there is that the people who are living in Dubai are every kind people, the kindest I have ever met, because they are helpful and very intelligent people. Dubai is the richest city because Dubai has underwater hotels, houses, and even they have an underwater stadium and an underwater tennis court. In Dubai, the police have Lamborghinis, Ferraris and all other sports cars because in Dubai there are a lot of people breaking laws, like speeding and running red lights with their sports cars, so the police have sports cars to catch them.

Dubai is known for luxury shopping. Burj Khalifa, an 830m-tall tower, dominates the skyscraper-filled skyline. Also there is the Dubai Fountain.

In Dubai there are underwater hotels. This is how they look. This is the world’s first hotel to be submerged underwater, but many have one floor that is underwater, but not the entire hotel. The guests of the underwater hotel Dubai, they will enter at the land station where they will be carried by a soundless train. Dubai is the world’s most beautiful country and richest I have ever seen in my entire life. I would recommend if anybody can go there, go to the Atlantis Hotel in Dubai – it’s the best hotel in the world.

India is a beautiful country where I was born and I lived in India for 10 years. I know India is a beautiful country. The Indian flag means a lot to me because when I see my Indian flag, I miss my country.

The saffron stands for courage,  sacrifice and the spirit of renunciations. The white is meant for purity and the navy blue wheel represents the continuity of the nation’s progress, which is deemed to be as “boundless as the blue sky and as fathomless as the deep blue sea.” The green means faith and fertility.

India is the second largest populated country in the world. India’s population is 1.252 billion; the last report of population was in 2013. India’s seven wonders are is harmindir sahib Golden Temple, Taj mahal, Hampi, Konark Sun Temple, Nalanda, and Khajuraho. India has a lot of different kinds of cultures like Skihism, Hinduism, Islam, Buddhism and Jainism. India has a lot of different kinds of places to visit like Mumbai, Dehli and Punjab. In India, all different kinds of people are religious. India has a lot of different kinds of food for different cultures like Alu gobi, alu matar, barfi, butter chicken, carrot halwa, chicken biriyani, and roti with dal makhni.

I love India because India is a beautiful country. However, even though I live in the United States, India is the most beautiful country.

Technology has made communication between people both better and worse. Technology has made communication better in some ways but worse in other ways.

First of all, technology has made communication better. Technology made people’s communication better because people can talk or text from their phones to anywhere in the world. Technology has grown a lot with smart phones, which people usually have. People have social networking accounts where they can chat with people or their families all around the world. In paragraph 2, on page 365, of  the article “Silent Language,” the authors Dr.Bruce Perry and Charlotte Latuala states that, “Your gestures and posture say more than you know. Indeed, body language is the single most important means of getting a point across say experts.” This quote means  that when people chat with other poeple on Facetime, Skype, Tango and other kinds of social networking apps, they can see their friends body language and how they react. People use these apps to see other people or families so they can see each other all around the world.

On the other hand, technology has also made communication worse, because when people text message,  send emails and post on social media, it’s not that private. People screenshot text messages, emails, and social media and then they forward those pictures to their friends and share them on social networking. In paragraph 3, on page 365 of “Silent Language” the authors state that, “Refusing to meet someone’s eyes says that you’re unconfident, nervous, or even worse – untrustworthy”. This quote relates to what I’m pointing out because on a computer or text you won’t know if someone is paying attention to your conversation or your private text. When they aren’t paying attention, the way to know that is because they might reply the text or email way late.

Finally, these are my reasons how technology has made communication between people both way better and worse. Technology has made communication between people so that they can use technology to go against their friends or family, but they can also use technology to do something nice.

I chose the LeBron James interview, because it is perfect example of facial expressions. Lebron James was talking something about “teams,” his facial expressions were so different. His eyebrows were going up and down a lot. At 4 minutes and 11 seconds, he said if he had to chose any team to play, it would be Cavaliers. He was surprised because the Cavaliers beat the Bucks. He was so surpised at his own team when his team played so good and better than last time. When people are surprised, their eyebrows goes up.

Lebron James’s facial expressions were different. His eyebrows were going up and he was smiling at 4 mintues and 41 seconds because he was talking about how bad his opponent team plays. His facial expressions have a lot of movement. When he talks, his face muscles moves a lot of different ways. When someone speaks, they have their own unique style.

I read this article about Snapchat, I’m interested in this article because I have this app and I would love to know more about it.

According to the article, “on Wednesday, four years later, a source close to the deal said Snapchat Inc. had pulled in a $200 million investment from Chinese technology superpower Alibaba Group Holding Ltd. That sum reportedly raises the startup’s market value to $15 billion, the highest of its Southern California peers.” This quote from the article interested me because the Chinese invested $200 million dollars in the app but now the app is more expensive than it used to be because the app got famous. This app is a communication tool around the world – it makes life a little easier because the app is free. It helps us save money instead of spending money.

I enjoyed reading this article because I can Snapchat with my friends in India and we Snapchat about old memories and we Snapchat so I can remember what it is like there and we talk about what is different between here and India, because India is very different from the US. I want to know how different Snapchat is from my transportation business in terms of how they make more money than us.

I am reading this article about Google Glass. It is about how people like Google Glass and also how people don’t like Google Glass this is why this article called ambivalence.

Google Glass is most famous because people don’t want to look on their phone screens – they just want see through their Google Glasses. Google Glass is wearing glasses just like regular ones, but these glasses have a computer in it so like you can record video, take pictures, watch YouTube, use Google search and such. 

Using Google Glass while driving should be banned because using Google Glass could put you in a dangerous spot and other people too. The government should ban using Google Glass in stores, schools, and while driving. This is a quote about Google Glass, “There’s no knowing whether someone driving with Google Glass is texting, watching a video or simply using Glass to help navigate or check traffic. It may not be enough to keep your eyes on the road and your hands on the wheel.”

I am reading this article on “Newsela” about Malala and how she went through her life in Pakistan and how she got awarded the Nobel Peace Prize. When Malala was in Pakistan, she wrote a book called “I’m Malala” about her life and how women don’t get an education in Pakistan.

When women get married in Pakistan, the husband has to decide whether she can go to get an education or stay home. This is quote is what Malala said: “I said to myself, Malala, you must be brave, you must not be afraid of anyone, you are only trying to get an education, you are not committing a crime.” This quote tells about Malala talking to herself about education and why women get education in Pakistan. She got shot in the head because she stood up for education for women in Pakistan.

Malala stood up for women’s beliefs because she wants women to get education, because women can prove to their husbands that they can do more things than cooking or staying home. Malala was a brave woman who stood up for women’s rights in Pakistan. I hope people learned the lesson that women can stand up for their rights.

1. My favorite time to read is whenever I get done with my homework. Sometimes I read at night before I go to bed, or often I read in the car when we go out of town.

5. I read a book called Warriors Don’t Cry. I like this book because it is about an African American student who takes a stand against races going to different schools. She fights for education and the success of Brown vs Board of Education.
